Being Inspired - The Cycle of Inspiration

LeBron James. Sidney Crosby. Tom Brady. Tiger Woods. Players that we love and admire, and not very often do we think to ourselves, how do these prodigy’s get to where they are today. Did they just fall out of the sky, landing into major contracts and money? Absolutely not. It took guts, courage, determination, and not to mention, a whole lot of inspiration.
Inspiration is a cycle if you really think about it. The generation before us grew up watching the generation before them, and that’s where they got their inspiration. We watch the generation before us, and that is how we get our inspiration. The generation below us will watch us, and that is how they will get their inspiration. It’s a never-ending cycle. There are those people in the world who give you that sense of ammunition. That ammunition to go out into the world and become whatever you want to become. Seeing your favorite athletes on your TV screen is what gets you to push harder. Inspiration is the fuel to our lives. It’s what drives us to do those big things.
Now stop for a second and look at your life. Imagine where you would be if you didn’t have any sense of motivation or inspiration. Where are you? What are you doing? Are you happy? Now stop again. Think about those people who motivated you and inspired you. Thank them. They are the reason you are doing such amazing things.

Imagine the game of hockey without Steve Yzerman and Sidney Crosby. Imagine Football without Joe Montana and Tom Brady.
The greats that we love today, loved the greats before them. Crosby idolized Yzerman just as we idolize Crosby. The same goes for Montana and Brady. Watching these people on our television screen doesn’t only inspire us to be like them, but it inspires us to take what they do a step further. Life is about being inspired and taking the steps you need to take in order to get to the place where you want to be.

Being inspired is an infectious thing. Spread it around you. Push the people around you.
In keeping with the theme of the cycle of inspiration, watch one of my best friends, Tyler Satino’s highlight tape. Who knows, maybe someday soon he’ll be inspiring you.

Be inspired.
