Everyone has his or her own
story. The person you sat next too on the subway this morning could have been a
person who contemplated taking his or her own life. The person who you thought
was rude in class may have been a person who suffers from social anxiety. The
person who you saw walking down the street with a smile on their face could be
a person who is in a deep depression. You can never truly understand what is
going on in a person’s head, but there are always ways for you to help.
This year, think about these
things as you’re walking down the street and look to the person to the left of
you. Remember that having a mental illness is not something to be ashamed of,
or something you feel like you need to hide. Remember that no matter what,
someone will be there – someone who you would least expect.
Today, January 27th
2016 is #BellLetsTalk day. So today, let’s talk to end the stigma, and make a
difference.
#BellLetsTalk, because you’re
never alone.
